Lille has a very nice city centre, excellently suited for a city trip. Most of the sights can be combined in a walking tour.

- Place du Général de Gaulle
Features: The main square hosts numerous events and has as highlights the column of the Goddess, the Vieille Bourse, the Grand’Garde and Furet du Nord, one of the largest libraries in Europe.
Location: in the city center, between Vieux-Lille and the pedestrian area.
Historical landmarks
- Vieille Bourse
Features: The old stock exchange was built in the 17th century and is made up of 24 identical residences. The interior courtyard comprises 4 covered galleries.
Location: Between Place du Général de Gaulle and Place du Théâtre
